Sugarloaf Mountain Vancouver Island Elopement | Wanru + Aaron
A blazing hot summers day on top of Sugarloaf Mountain was the setting for the beautiful Vancouver Island elopement of Wanru + Aaron. Covered in sparkles and jewels from head to toe, she smiled so big as she walked along the rugged rocks and through the dry mountaintop grasses towards him. They exchanged rings as the wind blew her veil around, and tossed the signing papers about. From there we took in the beautiful views from atop the mountain, before heading to Neck Point Park in Nanaimo where they snuggled and laughed while the waves rolled in closer and closer to their toes.
I remember talking to Wanru and hearing her mention her chosen location and getting so giddy, for it was completely unexpected, offbeat, non-traditional. But it was a spot they loved the spend time together + where he proposed... so it made sense. So the two of them and a select few family and friends ventured up the steep stairs that lead you to the top of this little gem nestled amongst the city + said "I do."
Vancouver Island elopements + intimate weddings are always such a treat. Encompassing the landscapes that the island is so well known for, and having couples who choose to exchange vows amongst the scenery that makes their hearts happiest, makes for such memorable celebrations.
