Rathtrevor Beach Wedding : Carmen + Michael

When the bride tells you that her and her husband-to-be will be exchanging vows beneath a giant cedar tree and steps away from the ocean…. you get excited :) It ended up being such a stunning setting with the golden hour light streaming in, and their closest family + friends standing near. There was portraits atop Little Mountain in Parksville followed by a perfectly rustic celebration in a family backyard, transformed with dahlias and wood details throughout. This day was all about celebrating with loved ones + that was surely felt throughout :)

I adore how many little gems of locations are available to couples on Vancouver Island. Every beach, forest, or river walk offers something different depending on the season or even the time of day. Rathtrevor Beach, where this wedding ceremony was held, can be packed full of people in the summer months, yet this ceremony felt private nestled off the trails ever so slightly.

Are you interested in an elopement or intimate wedding in a nature encompassed, off the beaten track location somewhere on Vancouver Island? These are my absolute favourite types of celebrations and not only can I offer suggestions of magical wedding ceremony locations to check out, but am happy to offer insight into best time of day for optimal lighting for your vow exchange as well! Don’t hesitate to reach out with any planning questions you may have. I’d love to help!
