Qualicum Beach Memorial Golf Course Wedding : Brittany + Travis

The Qualicum Beach wedding of Brittany + Travis is one I will not soon forget.
The day started with hair and makeup services at the beautiful Qualicum Beach Inn, all the girls in their blue jay’s jerseys having an incredible morning celebrating together. I remember fondly how Brittney kept breaking down in tears, only to exclaim “I’M JUST SO HAPPY!!!”
It was the sweetest + made my heart soar.

Speaking of making my heart soar… Brittany had FLOWER GRANDMAS instead of flower girls. Now, these two were so proud of the bride-to-be and they took their role seriously and had so much fun along the way. Again, ALL THE FEELS. They sobbed and laughed and hugged and joyously partook in every single moment from morning til the party ended. I couldn’t help but think about just how special their presence was.

Another highlight was the first look at Heritage Park in Qualicum Beach. This whimsical, lush forest was the perfect backdrop for this bride to meet her groom and see each other for the first time that day. Their chemistry + pure adoration for each other was my favourite. These two are real gems; and I secretly (not-so-secretly) wish they lived closer so we could all be best friends.

When we got to the Qualicum Beach Memorial Golf Course, the wedding venue for the evening, I was in awe of the backdrop. Everything was set up on a green that overlooked the ocean alongside a simple floral covered arbour. Barbara Densmore, one of my absolute favourite celebrants, lead what was one of the most unique ceremonies I’ve witnessed to date. Particularly special was the moments Brittney shared with her Grandpa before + after the ceremony. I couldn’t help but let the tears flow myself to be honest… grandparents are so dang special!

Other special moments of the day?
- A surprise birthday cake and celebration for a Grandma
- When all the guests joined Brittany + Travis in a sing-a-long to '“Take Me Out To The Ball Game”
-The moment we thought we missed sunset, only to later see the sky open up in one of the most wildly colourful displays I’ve seen in 12 years living on the island.
-The impromptu first dance that look place outside with that sunset as the backdrop. I’LL NEVER FORGET IT.
-The insane dance party that took place, especially when DJ RON played the 90’s pop songs. You better believe I was singing and dancing along with everybody else :)

Anyways, it seems I could go on about this Vancouver Island wedding forever but I will let the images do some of the talking.
