Rustic Winter Wedding Inspiration: A Sugarplum Wonderland
Would you ever consider a winter wedding? Out here on Vancouver Island, our winters can be pretty mild and we are lucky to still see a lot of greenery and sunshine amongst the rainy days. Elsewhere though, where cities get blanketed in snow, colour can seem non-existant for many months of the year.
While I was in Lexington visiting the fabulous Sabrina of Seriously Sabrina Photography this past October, we had the opportunity to work alongside Gabrielle Green of Event 29 and Showerbelle and photograph this styled shoot aimed at featuring pretty and romantic ideas for winter brides. Inside you will find Bavarian crystal and rustic wood, gorgeous floral arrangements of orchid, eucalyptus and rose protected under glass cloches, showcasing that even in the coldest months, your wedding can still be full of colour and nature elements. An incredible team came together for makeup, luxury stationary, and set design that was the perfect mix of rustic yet whimsical. I absolutely adored the use of blackberries for an unexpected pop of colour amongst the subtle ivory and blush tones seen throughout the other details. It was so much fun exploring the inspiration brought to life by so many talented vendors and and capturing our beautiful bride amongst this sugarplum wonderland.

A huge thank you to Gabrielle for having Sabrina and I to photograph this stunning shoot and to Wedding Star for having these images in a future publication.
